As most of you know, we donate items not consigned to THE SOUP OPERA, a nonprofit agency. In addition to our weekly clothing donation, we will have plans to collect other items THE SOUP OPERA may need. Stay tuned for more information!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR OUR CONSIGNORS:
With growth, comes change.  The number of consignors has tripled since our opening.  We are unable to expand our space at this time so we must initiate other changes to make KIDS CLOSET more efficient for everyone.  Please remember our processing time (getting consignments ready for display) is very long.  We process thousands of items each month. The following changes go into effect as follows:
 
Changes taking effect immediately:
  • We are now accepting spring and summer consignments. 
  • WE MUST LIMIT THE TOYS.  We will only accept toys and puzzles that are "new in the box".  Instructions must be included.  The toys that sell are name brands, i.e.,Little Tikes, Fisher Price, Playskool, etc. Infant toys and character stuffed animals that are animated will be taken.  We will NOT take a bag of toys that has not been sorted AND BOXED.
  • No recalled items are accepted. Please check your items at Recalls.gov

    Changes that wil take effect January 1, 2010:

    • We have no choice but to limit the number of items brought in by each consignor. No more than one small white tall kitchen bag can be brought in for consignment at one time.  Please check your items to be sure that they meet our quality guidelines.
    • Items on plastic hangers will be given priority.  If you don't have any, use wire hangers. We will provide plastic hangers for you if you like. (All items on display will be hung on plastic hangers for display.) 

      A word to our Consignors who RECLAIM:  Consignors wanting to reclaim items determined by KIDS CLOSET to be UNACCEPTABLE will be charged a $5.00 fee for each consignment season.  There will continue to be NO CHARGE for items that are consigned and did not sell during their given consignment period.
